This is a new unique book CD playalong. It includes six Charlie Parker songs with head and and original solos Charlie played. In the book the heads are written out as well as 2 or 3 full solo choruses.For every song there are also study notes on his solo style analyzing the scale chord relation and harmony.

The CD

The playalong CD has each of the six songs recorded 4 ways:

  • 1st is the full rhythm section plus sax playing head and solo choruses fast tempo:

  • 2nd is the the same track with the rhythm section only, no sax. You play along with the rhythm section.



  • 3rd is the full rhythm section with sax playing head and solo choruse slow:
