This 200 page book includes a detaled analysis of 8 classic charts by Sammy Nestico, Thad Jones, and Bob Brookmeyer. It also includes a CD of all 8 arrangements complete. Before each complete score is presented in this book, there are study notes explaining the melody, harmony, form, voicings, substitute chords included in the arrangement. Then the complete score is layed out. Next, a personal interview with Q&A with the arranger. After you read the study notes pop the CD into the player and follow along thru the score and try to absorb a lifetime or two arranging knowledge if you dare.
